Hello! My name is Whitney Richards and I am a junior at James Madison University. I would like to be a tutor because I enjoy helping people and I like seeing others succeed. I have taken a wide variety of classes at JMU and I am in good standing. My SAT score was a 1920 or 1300 (old scale). I was a teacher's assistant my senior year of high school. In high school, I was in Beta, the National Honor Society, and FBLA. I have worked at State Farm Insurance in Charlottesville, VA for the past two summers in the Finance, Planning and Analysis department. I think that I would be a great tutor because I try to explain things very simply and because I'm very easy to get along with. I'm approachable and patient and eager to help. I feel that I am very mature but I like to have fun and am very easy going.
