Katherine C.

Private tutor in Harrisonburg, VA

Education

Sophomore Biology major at James Madison University, 3.4 GPA. Lots of APs and Duel Enrollments in high school! 3.9 GPA.

Experience

No official tutoring experience but I've helped a lot of people get through random classes. I want to be a tutor so I can help people, learn things, and make money. The best way to learn is to teach it yourself, you know? I've taken Calculus I, a few biology courses, ecology and evolution, some scientific epistemology.I've also taken Sociology, Africana Studies, French 101 (was actually pretty good at very beginner french so if you need that...),and Critical Thinking (basic symbolic logic, and In high school I took AP Government, and American History as well as AP English Rhetoric. I "tutored" my friend through General Chemistry I, so I have a pretty good handle on the basics there.

Hobbies

I play the flute and the guitar.I like to go to Reddish Knob on special occasions and have mini-bonfires. School takes up a lot of my time but in between school stuff I like to hang with my friends and adventure around Harrisonburg. I'm in SHAC, which is a student health association on campus. I'm also a member of FreeThinkers, which is just a place I go to discuss interesting topics on politics, religion, and general philosophy. I am also a member of Intervarsity, a christian organization on campus. I am friends with a lot of people in Earth Club too, so I try to be environmentally friendly for them, I've been trying to be vegetarian for a little bit. I have an interesting sense of humor, it takes a little getting used to I think. But people say I'm nice and patient, which is a good trait to have when tutoring, right?
