Highest combined SAT score: 1240, ACT combined score: 28, ACT English score: 35 Previous tutoring experience: Tutored for a full school year (2009-2010) at Wilson Memorial High school. Worked as a private tutor for 4th grader with ADD for a semester (Fall 2009). I want to be a tutor because I love working with people, I love helping people to learn and understand things, and I hope to gain experience for my future career as a teacher. Relevant classes: EDUC 360, EDUC 310, MSSE 370, MSSE 371, and every English course I've taken at James Madison University I have volunteered with a non-profit organization called Young Life for the past 3 years (2008- present) that works directly with high school students. I spend about 20-30 hours a week planning events and meeting with/ supporting high school students that attend Wilson Memorial High school.
