1280 on SAT. I took many AP courses at Atlee High School, including U.S. History, Environmental Science, Government, Biology, English, etc. I did not get college credit for every single one, but especially the language tests and history and government ones I received a 5. I do not have any previous tutoring experience per se, but I teach myself foreign languages in my spare time. I want to be a tutor because I have a passion for learning, believing that education is a life-long process. That being said, my personal experiences have shown me that the most formative years for an individual's adult education and long-term success seem to be the few prior to, and around, the age of 18. I've taken a broad range of classes, from those that deal with government and politics for my political science major, and some elementary to intermediate level courses in multiple languages. I took multiple years of Latin and Spanish in High School. Italian and Portuguese I have picked up in college. As aforementioned, I tutor myself in Romantic Languages in my spare time. I volunteered at Blue Ridge Legal Services from Jan. 2010-Dec.2010 as an interpreter/translator for Spanish-speaking clients. I serve on the JMU Honor Council.

I am very easy to get along with, being open-minded and an eternal optimist. And though I am easy-going, when it comes to education, I am serious about drilling whatever needs to get done accomplished. I have this mentality because I was very fortunate to be surrounded by people growing up that relayed the importance of education to me. And any time I can share that or even participate in that process, then it is rewarding for all parties, as far as I am concerned.
