Education

I am a junior at James Madison University, I am in the school of Media Arts and Design with a concentration in digital video and cinema and minoring in communications, my cumulative gpa is 3.5 and have had above a 3.4 my entire time at the University.

Experience

I tutored some back in highschool my freshman and sophomore year. My SAT score was around 1700. I would really like to be a tutor because I like working with students especially around my own age because I think that they are easier to relate to and teach. I think it would allow me to relearn things I may have not been interested while I was in high school. Currently, I am primarily only taking my major classes, but I am still interested in other subjects and would love the opportunity to get to know some of the community around Harrisonburg. In high school I took a few upper level courses, AP Gov, AP Biology, AP Engligh, and AP Environmental. I have always been very good at algebra and other math. I took statistics in college and a very challenging philosophy course. I am part of my the National Society for Colligate Scholars at JMU and take my school work seriously. Leadership wise, I am part of a handful of groups on campus. I am a member of the sorority Kappa Alpha Theta, I am an intramural official for the University Recreational Program. I am leading my own service trip this up coming spring break and I am interning in Los Angeles this summer with the Summer Abroad Program at JMU.

I love to be adventorous, I love playing sports, hiking, snowboarding/skiing, swimming, camping and other outdoor activities. I lived in Vermont my whole life and really like how Harrisonburg shares some of the same great qualities that my home town is known for. I love to eat good food, hang out with my friends, watch movies, cook/bake and watch a lot of you tube videos.
