Experience
I previously volunteered at Lacey Springs Elementary School as a 3rd grade tutor. I have taken SAT, ACT & GRE. I want to be a tutor to help others understand their school material and to make their learning experience fun, interesting and easier. I want others to succeed so they will continue pursuing other educational opportunities and find a subject they enjoy. I was previously a Biology major for my first two years at JMU so I took many science and math classes. Many of my CSD classes are based on language development and hearing impairments. I have also taken a wide range of general education classes at JMU such as religion, art history, health, communication, english/writing, psychology, etc. I believe I can learn new material quickly and explain it in many different ways for my student to understand. I have babysat many children so I believe I work well with them.

Hobbies
I am a member of Alpha Phi Omega, JMU's only co-ed service fraternity so I love to volunteer and help others. The two main projects I attend are the Salvation Army after-school program for children and Our Community Place Soup Kitchen. I have been learning sign language for a couple years so I feel comfortable communicating with someone who signs. I played many sports in high school and have continued to play intramural volleyball in college. I enjoy abc family shows and reading.
