I have worked at Sylvan Learning Center for about 3 1/2 years. I have been a teacher assistant, tutor, have proctored tests and have performed some administrative jobs there. I have also worked with ADD and mentally disabled children before. I want to be a tutor because this job would coincide with my major and desired profession. Also, because I have extensive experience in working with/tutoring children and I have come to find that it is a great passion of mine. I am also currently a member of the BLAST tutoring program here in Harrisonburg. Every Wednesday I go to Skyline Middle School and work with children on completing their homework assignments. *This means that I will not be available to tutor on Wednesdays.
