I graduated with highest distinction from UVa in 2011, majoring in human biology and international health care. Upon graduating, I joined Teach for America, where I taught high school science in Denver, Colorado for two years. I am now applying to dental school and taking post-graduate classes at JMU, so am in the area looking for something to do with my spare time. I love helping kids, so thought tutoring would be the perfect avenue!
Experience
-High school science teacher for the past 2 years -Taught ACT skills while being a teacher (my students on average gained 3+ points on their ACT during their time with me) -I love helping students 1-on-1 because you get to personalize the teaching and learning experience (it was my favorite part about being a teacher) -I've taken most every science course imaginable, but since I was a teacher for the past two years, I am extremely familiar with all high school courses, especially math and science
