I have no formal tutoring training, but I enjoy working in study groups and helping people learn. In high school I was color guard captain and drum major for our marching band, and treasurer and librarian for choir council. I was also copy editor of our newspaper. In college I am very involved with the University Program Board. I'm also very excited to be working with Fugue, a journal for the creative arts, which is sponsored by the Honors Program. In each of these organizations I like working with people and I feed off of the creative flows. Being creative and working with people is why I want to be a tutor. When you work in a restaurant you are working for someone, but when you tutor you're working with that person. I love the smiles when he or she finally understands a problem they've been working on.
