I recently received a two degrees in December from James Madison University. I obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology with a concentration in Cultural Anthropology as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Modern Foreign Language with a concentration in Spanish. I graduated in December 2009 with an overall GPA of 3.27.I am also in the process of applying to Graduate Schools in order to obtain my masters degree in Cultural Anthropology.
Experience
I have been a student for about 18 years so I understand the mechanics of learning and different ways of learning. I was also a Teachers Assistant in the Spring of 2008 for an introductory Anthropology class. In order to fulfill the requirements of the assistant-ship I held regular office hours where I would have several student come for help with the material. As well for all four tests I held a study session in which many students would come to ask questions. I also graded several assignments for the professor I was working under. Through this experience I was forced to put myself in the students shoes and try to explain concepts that were basic and natural to me but were foreign to the students. I was forced to think of different ways of explaining one concept when the students did not understand.

Hobbies
I love nature and being active in it. During the warmer seasons I love to kayak and hike. During the colder seasons I love to snowboard. My boyfriend and I recently got an Australian Shepard that we named Mordecai and that takes up a lot of our time as he is a very energetic puppy that loves to fetch and take long walks.
