Christine C.
Private tutor in Harrisonburg, VA
Education
Junior Social Work major at James Madison University
Experience
I have tutoring experience with disadvantaged children and teens in the Harrisonburg community and also with middle to upper class children and teens back home in New Jersey. I have also tutored fellow college students and still do on occasion. I want to be a tutor because I really like to help people understand things that I could not understand at some point in life. It is really rewarding to help others and being that I am a Social Work Major at James Madison University helping people succeed and overcome is always something I am interested in. I am currently taking psychology, government, history, and biology classes. In the past I have taken many other math, psychology, history, science, sociology, psychology, social work, foreign language(Italian and Spanish), English composition, and literature courses as well as various others. I also played the flute for nine years. I am good with analogies and relating anything to anything else. If needed I can relate basically anything to sports. In high school I received academic awards including the Presidential Gold Award. I have an Associates Degree in Liberal Arts.
