I will be an athletic tutor for the 2010-2011 school year through the Athletic Performance Center at JMU. I'll be tutoring a few subjects: Humanities, Psychology, Africana studies, and Literature. I worked with fellow students in high school and into college on various writing assignments. I helped the students work through each aspect of the writing process: brainstorming, outlining, writing, editing and revising. SAT score: 1120 I love working with students of any age to assist them in their studies. I enjoy finding new and better ways of explaining a topic or problem and then helping the student work to find the right answer. I believe that I am always approachable and friendly during tutoring; it's important to be positive and patient with the students, two personal qualities I possess. Relevant classes I have taken at JMU: American Literature I and II General Psychology Critical Reading and Writing Fall 2010: British Literature Victorian Era Writing About Literature Tutoring Writing Life Span Human Development I interned this summer 2010 at Sanofi-aventis Pharmaceuticals for the Client Engineering Services group of the company. I have gained quality and working computer skills using a Mac and a PC. I'm also efficient with using software such as Pages, Keynote, Microsoft Office, and certain search engines. Since working at a catering company, physical therapy center and international company (Sanofi-aventis), I have gained impressive personal skills. I love working with other people, especially when I am teaching them a skill.
