Education
My name is Kara Liedel and I am currently in my second semester of sophomore at James Madison University. My major is Health Sciences and I plan on applying to the occupational therapy concentration in Feb 2010. I got my first 4.0 GPA first semester sophomore year and (hopefully!)will work hard to achieve another for this semester. My specialty areas are Human Anatomy and Physiology as well as anything to do with studying skills, time management, coping with anxiety, etc. I have already taken numerous math and science courses such as statistics, algebra, and two chemistry classes.
Experience
I have had tons of volunteer experience with elementary school kids as well as high school. Since I was in middle school, I have enjoyed working with students at the school my mom is a teacher at. I have worked with kids with learning disabilities through an occupational therapy office working on handwriting skills. I also volunteer at a rehabilitation center in Harrisonburg where I help mostly elderly and middle aged persons with their treatments.
