Experience
Hello, my name is Cory Caswell, I am 20 years old and am currently a student at James Madison University. I graduated from high school in 2007 with an advanced degree, in which a plethora of rigorous courses were taken at a college level. I participated in New Horizons Governor's School for Science and Technology and participated in a thesis-based mentor ship in astronomy through the Governor's School. I placed in the upper ninetieth percentile for critical reading/thinking on the SAT and maintained an average GPA of a 3.5. Currently, I am a psychology and sociology double-major with aspirations to go to graduate school to obtain a Masters, and eventually a PhD in psychology. I plan on working with troubled students at a university setting as a school psychologist. I have a heavy load of psychology and sociology courses currently, along with many writing-intensive classes. I am in excellent standing with the university and made the Dean's list for the fall 2008 semester. I would like to be a tutor to help those that are struggling to grasp whatever concept or material that is plaguing them. I believe that change in any society is a result of educated and enlightened individuals collaborating together and thinking critically about a problem in order to gain a solution. That being said, I feel that whatever I can do to propagate knowledge is a benefit to society at large. My strengths include psychology, sociology, writing and grammar, computers, general biology, and statistics.
